Full Description Coated On Pet

ITO coated PET film is a clear polyester sheet with a thin, conductive layer of Indium Tin Oxide applied using advanced vacuum sputtering. This process creates a smooth, even coating that sticks well and keeps the film transparent and flexible. The film offers better light transmission and electrical resistance than glass, and the coating’s thickness and properties can be precisely controlled. The coating is applied in a vacuum, where ITO is deposited onto the PET film, resulting in a conductive surface without losing clarity. The film stays flexible and clear, and the coating is stable and durable. The operator cannot solder directly to the ITO layer but can make electrical connections using conductive ink, paint, or copper tape with conductive adhesive.

Standard ITO PET sheets use clear, optical-grade polyester, but custom options include heat-stabilized, anti-glare, and hard-coated films. The thin and uniform ITO layer gives the film conductivity while keeping it flexible and transparent, with little effect on light transmission.

Application of ITO Coated PET Sheet

ITO coated PET sheet is used in many fields. Touchscreens use it as sensing layers. Resistive screens have two ITO layers with a gap between them. Aircraft use ITO films to defrost windscreens. Current passes through the coating to produce heat. Flexible electronics like foldable phones use thin ITO sheets in circuits. Solar panels is used as clear electrodes to collect current and let light pass. Display screens use it to control pixels. Smart windows send signals through ITO sheets to switch between clear and dark.

Medical devices use ITO films in clear sensors and monitors. Membrane switches and flexible circuits use it for contact. EMI shielding uses ITO films to block interference without losing transparency. Transparent heaters in cars and buildings use ITO sheets to warm surfaces without blocking views. Industrial sensors use it to detect movement or position. Gas turbines and jet engines use ITO strain gauges that resist heat and pressure.

Shelf Life and Storage Guidelines

This product should be stored at normal room temperature and pressure. If kept in a clean, dust-free environment, it remains stable for an unlimited time.

Safe Packaging

It is supplied in bundles with high protective layers between individual sheets so it do not rub against each other, preventing scratches and damage. These are then wrapped in a specially manufactured, light-protected, moisture-free paper sheet to ensure the surface remains clean and safe.

Handling Instructions

Sheets must be handled carefully; the researcher should use powder-free, non-latex gloves. While experimenting, if a researcher uses a substrate with bare hands, the chances of contaminating the coated surface with finger oil are very high. Therefore, nylon or polyester gloves are advised. If a researcher wants to measure electrical resistivity, it is advisable to use the 4-probe method to get an accurate result.
