A non return valve is also known as a check valve which allows fluids (such as liquids or gases) to flow in only one direction. Its design ensures that the fluid doesn’t flow backward, which is crucial for many systems, such as plumbing or chemical applications, to prevent contamination or damage.
Non return valves (check valves) are available with fixed cracking pressures with various end connections and materials. All check valves are designed for 0.2 bar cracking pressure and 3000psi at 250 deg. c. These check valves are very smooth in operation and fully pressure sealed. For valves not actuated for some time, the initial cracking pressure may be higher than the actual cracking pressure. The valve is also referred to as the NRV valve.
Function of Non Return Valve
